 18. Research & Publications

18.1 My education and career were primarily in Commerce, Management and Banking.  However, I had always had the habit of going in-depth in any activity or work I did.  In fact, when I was working in the Agricultural Banking Branches / Department of SBI (Anantapur, Parkal, Jangaon, Wardhannapet and Sangareddy) and at the Corporate Office, Mumbai, I took keen interest to understand the farming and rural sociology to give my best.  I also had the first opportunity of conducting surveys on two occasions partnering with Mr Bandopadhyaya, Specialist Officer in Economic Research Department and submit reports to Top Management and RBI.  I conducted studies on "Comparison between Lead Bank Scheme and Service Area Approach" and "Effectiveness of Non-Banking Working Day at SBI Branches" during 1990-91.  I never thought that I will land in Academics on a later date to pursue research in my work.
